Animal Transport
Want to bring your pet along? You are welcome to bring your cat or dog with you in the cabin on Blue1's flights. Please make a reservation and obtain authorization in advance, because the number of pets that can be accepted in the cabin and in the cargo hold of a flight is limited.
The pet you bring on board may weigh up to 8 kg including the pet carrier which must not exceed the measurements (40x25x23 cm). Pets must remain in the pet carrier through the flight, they may not be seated in the lap or in a passenger seat. The pet carrier must be closed during taxing, take-off and landing.
The pets which weight over 8 kg must be transported as checked baggage in cargo hold. For more information, check SAS website.
Charge for animal transport within Finland and Scandinavia is 20 € per one-way for pets in cabin and 30 € per one-way for pets as cargo. Within Europe the charges are 50 € per one-way for pets in cabin and 60 € per one-way for pets as cargo.
Please make a reservation for a pet at the same time when making a booking for yourself and notice that there are limited availability for pets in cabin. If you have already made your flight reservation, you can contact Blue1 Internet Support to inform about pet in cabin.
Please note! If the crate exceeds the dimensions of 158 cm, you will be asked to pay one additional excess charge.
