Traveling with children and infants

Important information if you are traveling with children

  • Arrive at the airport well in advance.
  • Check in the stroller with your other baggage.

Unaccompanied minors
We offer an unaccompanied minor service to ensure that children traveling alone are looked after during the trip. The service permits children who have reached their 5th but not 12th birthday to fly alone. The service is optional for travelers aged 12–15 years, but if requested by the parent/guardian, the child can not decline the service.

  • Accompanying person is to prove his/her identity and wait at the airport for the aircraft to depart.
  • For each booked unaccompanied minor, an additional service charge per one-way trip will be charged:
    International flights: EUR 40.
Domestic flights in Finland: EUR 30.

For safety reasons, only a limited number of unaccompanied minors can be accepted on a given flight. If an unaccompanied child is not booked in advance according to our published rules, Blue1 reserves the right to deny boarding. A child under 5 years of age is not permitted to travel alone under any circumstances.

Please contact Blue1 Sales Center for further information. Read more about travel for unaccompanied minors on the SAS website and download handling advice form.
