  1. What is in-flight service like?

    In Business and Blue1 Premium, we offer complimentary meals or snacks, depending on the flight time and the service class. With Café1, you can select food and beverages from our menu. Café1 payment methods are cash (Euro), Finnish payment cards, and all major credit cards. Please note that we do not accept VISA Electron.
  2. What newspapers and other magazines are offered on board Blue1?

    A wide selection of newspapers and magazines are available at the gate for all international flights.
  3. Can I check in on the Internet?

    Yes, you can check-in online for a maximum of 6 people at a time, within 22 hours prior to your scheduled flight departure time.
  4.  Can I check-in online with baggage?

    Yes, you can. Please remember to print out your baggage tags at the Self Service Kiosk at the airport.
  5. Can I check in via SMS?

    Yes, at time of booking, you can order this service for the flights in your reservation.
  6. I checked in online/via SMS. What should I do when arriving at the airport?

    Good, you made a smart move. If you only carry hand baggage with you, proceed directly to the security check. If you carry checked luggage follow these simple advice: go to the self service kiosk at the airport and follow the on screen instructions, e.g. enter your reservation code and amount of baggage. The self service kiosk prints out baggage tags for you. Fasten the tags on your baggage. Save the receipt part and take your baggage to the Baggage Drop desk. Boarding cards are not needed in domestic Finland or on Scandinavian routes. 
  7. How much baggage can I travel with?

    The free-of-charge baggage allowance for Blue1 and the SAS Group for checked baggage is 20 kg. Oversize baggage, must be reserved in advance as a special request via the Blue1 Sales Center. Click and read more on special service.
  8. What happens if I arrive too late for my flight?

    Cancel your booking by calling the Blue1 Sales Center. If you have purchased a fully flexible fare, you will receive a refund for any unused part of the journey. If you arrive too late at the gate, you will be denied boarding. You must be at the gate checked in no later than 20 minutes before scheduled departure of flight.  
  9. Can I fly when pregnant?

    Up to 4 weeks before expected delivery, no medical certificate is required to fly. From 4 to 2 weeks before expected delivery you need a medical certificate.
  10. When should I arrive at the airport?

    For international flights in Economy Class in Finland, you must be checked-in no later than 45 minutes before your scheduled departure. For flights in Business Class, you must be checked-in no later than 35 minutes before your scheduled departure. For domestic flights, you must be checked-in no later than 25 minutes before your scheduled departure. You should arrive at the gate, checked-in, no later than 20 minutes before the scheduled time of flight departure.
