Conditions for changes

The fare type determines the conditions for changes (rebookings). In Economy Flex, changes to date and time are allowed for a fee under specific conditions.

In addition, Blue1 allows a change of passenger name for a fee of 60 euros, provided that it is made at least 24 hours before scheduled departure and that the flights are operated by Blue1, SAS or Widerøe. If you only need to correct a spelling error in a name, for an acceptable reason, or if the change corresponds to an official change of name, no fee is imposed.

Conditions for cancellations

The fare type determines the conditions for refundability.

In addition, Blue1 applies SAS Passenger Service Commitment, according to which a full refund is given, irrespectively of fare type, if cancellation is made within 24 hours from booking and simultaneously at least 24 hours before scheduled departure. This applies if the flights are operated by Blue1, SAS or Widerøe.

When refund is denied according to the conditions (as with Economy class bookings), the customer is still entitled to a refund of the passenger fees (and, for trips inside Finland, their effect on the value-added tax). Fuel surcharge is not refunded.

A refund administration fee of 20 euros per ticket is deducted, unless the refund is based on the 24 hours rule. If the remaining value is less than 5 euro, no refund will be made.

Service fees (booking fees) are not refunded.

Please allow the credit card company sufficient time to handle the refund.

Rejection of visa

As an exception to general rules, full refund is given irrespectively of fare type, if the passenger cannot travel due to rejection of visa application. This applies to trips within Finland, from Finland to Scandinavia and to other European countries. A statement from the embassy is required. The cancellation and refund request should be made as soon as possible and must be made at least 24 hours before departure.
