New additions on Blue1 business routes and frequencies 2011
Blue1 is strengthening its position as the airline for the Finnish business traveler and continues to launch new business routes and frequencies during 2011.
Blue1 introduces a new route to Tallinn, Estonia starting 31st January. The new service will be operated as a double daily connection, with ATR-72 aircraft.
On 27th march Blue1 opens a new double daily route between Helsinki and Amsterdam. The service will be operated with Blue1’s new aircraft type, Boeing 717. The new Blue1 service will expand the Star Alliance route network with a first non-stop connection between Helsinki and Amsterdam. The Schiphol airport in Amsterdam (AMS) is the fifth busiest airport in Europe and a central hub for Star Alliance companies.
As from 31st January Blue1 doubles its flights to Paris with a new morning flight. In March, Blue1 is to increase the number of its flights between Helsinki and Brussels from 11 to 15 weekly frequencies. With its new business routes and frequencies Blue1 contributes strongly to Star Alliance member airlines’ route network to and from Helsinki airport, offering soon daily non-stop connections to 19 European destinations.
