Blue1 expands on business routes and frequencies
Blue1 is strengthening its position as the airline for the Finnish business traveler. Over the coming months, Blue1 will introduce new routes and frequencies servicing European destinations and domestic Finland.
Blue1 to Munich
In late May, Blue1 announced revised business focus with a strong emphasis on business travel and the number of routes and frequencies.
The new Blue1 routes from Helsinki to Brussels and Berlin launched in March will be accompanied by a new direct route to Munich, September 13. The new service from Helsinki to Munich will increase the number of Star Alliance frequencies between Helsinki and Munich to four daily connections, together with Blue1 and Lufthansa. The strong input will continue by doubling the number of Blue1 flights from Helsinki to Zurich in November and to Paris in February 2011. A new route between Helsinki and Amsterdam will be opened in February.
Blue1’s strong domestic and Scandinavian operations will be further developed. A direct Oulu-Stockholm route will be opened in November 1. There will also be a second daily connection from Helsinki to Gothenburg, Sweden. In the course of coming months, the number of Blue1 domestic flights in Finland will increase by 22%.
There will be new morning and afternoon operations on the Kuopio-Helsinki route, increasing the number of daily operations to four on weekdays. The seasonal destinations of Kittilä and Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland will have daily operations as of the beginning of December. The return connections to domestic destinations from abroad will be significantly improved on the domestic routes.
Blue1’s aim is to offer the best global connections for Finnish business travelers together with the Star Alliance.
