Smooth start for your holiday at Helsinki Airport
Holiday season during Christimas and New year will cause an increase in the number of passengers at Helsinki Airport. We want to ensure that your departure goes smoothly. Below are some tips which might help you during the rush hours. Make sure that you have enough time at the airport before your departure!

Check- in your baggage in advance
Did you know that you can check-in, even baggage, at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport in the evening before if your flight departure is before 10.00 in the next morning. In case you check-in also your travel partners you must have their IDs/passports with you.

Sat 16:00-18:30
Baggage guide
The baggage allowance is marked on the ticket. Information about weight and dimension of piece can be found on our website. In the economy class the maximum weight of the bag is 23 kg and the maximum external dimensions 158 cm. Check the special flat rates for winter sporting equipment (snow ski and snowboard) when exceeding the free baggage allowance.
Snow Ski equipment includes one (1) ski cover, containing skis and ski sticks or snowboard, with maximum total weight 12 kg. Additionally one (1) ski boots bag, containing one (1) pair of ski boots and one (1) ski helmet. Total maximum combined weight for ski cover and ski boots bag is 23 kg.
Winter sporting equipment doesn’t need to be requested in advance.
