Baby car seats
When you book a child’s fare ticket for your infant, you may bring aboard a SAS approved car-type baby seat for installation in the adjoining seat. The car seat may be of the aft or forward facing type. No part of the car seat may extend outside the passenger seat. Maximum dimensions: horizontally 65 cm/25 in, height 45 cm/18 in.
Booking of baby cradles
When flying with us to/from North America or Asia you can book a cradle (bassinet) for babies up to 9 months old. The length of the cradle is 89 cm or 72 cm, depending on aircraft type. Please book it at the same time as your ticket.

Your infant may check in 23 kg own baggage (dimensions: 115 cm). However, the infant is not allowed to bring any hand luggage. It's always free to bring along a collapsible stroller / pram when traveling with an infant.
Child and baby meals
It is recommended that you bring your baby's special food (such as baby formula and baby food jars) and any special diet that you need during the flight.
SAS offer special baby and child meals on international flights with meal service. Check flight display for meal types. Reservation must be made not later than 24 hours before flight departure.
Baby meals have to be ordered in advance. Hot water is available on board to heat bottles/jars with baby food.
Special meals can be ordered for:
• Business, Economy Extra and Economy on intercontinental flights
• Business and Economy Extra on European flights with more than 70 minutes of flying time
