On January 31, 2011 Blue1 is launching a new non-stop double daily service between Helsinki and Amsterdam and add a second daily flight between Helsinki and Paris. By introducing new routes and frequencies servicing European destinations, Blue1 is strengthening its position as the airline for the Finnish business traveler.
Blue1’s aim to offer the best global connections for Finnish business travelers together with the Star Alliance takes a step forward on January 31 as the Finnish airline opens a new double daily route to Amsterdam and doubles its flights to Paris. Both routes will be operated with Blue1’s new aircraft type, Boeing 717.

The new Blue1 service will expand the Star Alliance route network with a first non-stop connection between Helsinki and Amsterdam. The Schiphol airport in Amsterdam (AMS) is the fifth busiest airport in Europe and a central hub for Star Alliance companies. Blue1 offers excellent connecting flights to Oulu, Vaasa and Kuopio in domestic Finland.
On January 31, 2011 Blue1 will start a second daily flight to Paris (CDG).

In late May, Blue1 announced revised business focus with a strong emphasis on business travel and the number of routes and frequencies.
New Blue1 routes from Helsinki to Brussels and Berlin were launched in March and were accompanied by a double daily to London Heathrow in April. A new service between Helsinki and Munich starts September 13, 2010.
