Blue1 opens new route to Amsterdam and doubles flights to Paris

On January 31, 2011 Blue1 is launching a new non-stop double daily service between Helsinki and Amsterdam and add a second daily flight between Helsinki and Paris. By introducing new routes and frequencies servicing European destinations, Blue1 is strengthening its position as the airline for the Finnish business traveler.

Blue1’s aim to offer the best global connections for Finnish business travelers together with the Star Alliance takes a step forward on January 31 as the Finnish airline opens a new double daily route to Amsterdam and doubles its flights to Paris. Both routes will be operated with Blue1’s new aircraft type, Boeing 717.

Blue1’s schedule to Amsterdam - starting January 31:

Helsinki – Amsterdam KF831 08:20 -10:05 Mon-Sat
KF835 17:05 - 18:50 Mon-Fri, Sun
Amsterdam – Helsinki KF832 10:45 - 14:15, Mon-Sat
KF836 19:40 – 23:10 Mon-Fri, Sun

The new Blue1 service will expand the Star Alliance route network with a first non-stop connection between Helsinki and Amsterdam. The Schiphol airport in Amsterdam (AMS) is the fifth busiest airport in Europe and a central hub for Star Alliance companies. Blue1 offers excellent connecting flights to Oulu, Vaasa and Kuopio in domestic Finland.

On January 31, 2011 Blue1 will start a second daily flight to Paris (CDG).
