A few tips for golf players
Choose your destination right
First, try to figure out what you are looking for on your golf trip besides playing golf, and with whom you are traveling. Are you interested in culture or are you a bar fly? Traveling with your family or friends? Barcelona is an example of a city where it's easy to combine beach life with golf.
Why not rent golf clubs?
Many golf courses have golf clubs for rent, so it might be a good idea to leave your golf clubs at home. This way you won't need to worry about carrying your golf gear between the airport and the hotel and the golf course.
Book your tee off time in advance
On weekdays it's usually easy to get tee off times, but on weekends we recommend to contact the club in advance.
Remember also to check if there's a minimum handicap requirement. Many clubs have minimum hcp 24. However, usually it can be quite easy to agree upon a tee off time even with a higher handicap.
Transportation between the hotel and the golf course
The easiest way for transportation is a rental car. On our web site you can rent a car at a favorable price.
Dress properly
Golf is still considered quite an elitist form of sports in many places. For the best treatment we advise to leave your jeans and t-shirts at home. Please note that many golf courses also require soft spike shoes.
Transportation of golf equipment
EuroBonus Gold members and passengers traveling in Economy Extra or Business have free of charge transportation of golf equipment onboard Blue1 and SAS.
In Economy Class there will be an extra fee for golf equipment. On flights within Europe the fee is 15 € per one way flight.
Transportation of golfing equipment
In Economy Class we charge for the transportation of the golfing equipment.
In Finland you can pay at the check-in counter and abroad at the ticket counters.
The service is free of charge for Economy Extra and Business class passengers, it is also free of charge for EuroBonus Goldmembers. This applies on Blue1 and SAS.
